17. Nearly 70% of you believe that driving alternative-fuel vehicles can reduce Global Warming |
|

In the graph above the respondents’ preconception of the effectiveness of alternative-fuel vehicles positively affected Global warming is very significant.
The large majority, 69.8% of the total respondents strongly agrees that driving alternative-fuel vehicles will help reduce Global Warming. Although this is not supported by any scientific argument the majority of the respondents have a preconceived notion that driving electric, on hydrogen or another fuel source will actually have a positive impact on reversing Global Warming. Although this may be possible it actually supports the possibility of acceptance to change. If the respondents are under the impression that a alternative fuel will reverse Global warming then it could be assumed that the respondent or consumer may adjust their preference. It can be also observed that 16.1% of the respondents were not sure of the major contributors to Global Warming. Only 10.6% of the total respondents disagree that alternative-fuel vehicles will have any impact at all on reversing Global Warming. Another 19.6% have not made a conclusion to this statement and probably wait to see what the majority will do before making any decision.
In the Graph above question 17 is compared with the regional origin of the respondents. In total the North American respondents account for 79.7% of the total which either disagree or strongly disagree. Also this is because the North American region was larger in numbers then the rest of the regions.
